Update: October 2022 Events

25th ALSCW Conference, Yale University, October 20–23, 2022

Csenger Kertai, SebestyĆ©n Czakó-Kuraly, and Gergely Balla will present in Diana Senechal's seminar on "Setting Poetry to Music" at the 25th ALSCW Conference at Yale University in October. All three guests have received Petőfi Literary Fund grants for this trip and conference. The seminar will take place over two sessions, with a total of sixteen presentations and eighteen presenters (six of whom are coming from Hungary: the aforementioned three as well as Fruzsina Balogh, Panna Kocsis, and Kata Heller). Most of the presentations will include music; some will include visual art as well! View the full conference program here.

Platon Karataev duo concerts in New Haven and NYC

After the ALSCW Conference, on October 23 at 4 p.m., the Platon Karataev duo (Gergely Balla and SebestyĆ©n Czakó-Kuraly) will headline at Cafe Nine in New Haven. This event is free and will be their U.S. debut! Here is the Facebook event page.

The following evening, on October 24 at 10 p.m., the Platon Karataev duo will headline at Arlene's Grocery in NYC. Tickets are available in advance and at the door. Here is the Facebook event page.
